GROW  STRONG

STRONG
The journey begins with...
To bring about the understanding of the seriousness nature of food allergies, an effort to cultivate a relationship with the community is needed.  Starting from the basics of educating your friends, starting a food allergy support group within your school, to getting involved in community health fairs are all considered significant steps to promoting safety for our food allergic children.

A monthly meeting with speakers from the medical community has been set up.  Informal meetings with coffee mornings to simply meet and chat and share will follow the seminar at Body With Soul (located at Rochester Park).  As a member, you will automatically be informed of these meetings by email.

Spreading awareness
Join your school's food allergy support group.  If none exists, contact us to help start one!

Our Education Committee is able to provide information and training to school faculty and students.  If you're interested, please email us.
Planning
Food Allergy Awareness Week occurs in the beginning of May every year.  During this time, we encourage all members to increase food allergy awareness at their schools by displaying posters, flyers,  and library displays.

Also, at this time, a party for our food allergic kids will take place.  A party without worries (without food) but WITH lots of fun.
